My thoughts are :

Great picture, the primary subject matter of the ducks in the foreground and the building in the background are both nicely exposed and the large depth of field you've set has ensured that both are in focus.

If you initially saw this shot, minus the ducks, you did well to wait for them to appear, the added foreground interest is very good, and as a bonus they are moving into the frame, and in a nice formation.

Going into the distance, due to the direct sunlight, the right-hand side of the picture is much more vibrant than the left, fantastic colours with lovely reflections. Well captured.

If you were happy to lose the ducks, an alternative crop might be to "zoom-in" closer to the building, but veer off to the right a little, keeping as much of the vibrant trees as possible and losing some of the trees from the left. This would enlarge a primary subject, the building, and also throw it off centre, to the left slightly - the is generally considered good practice to have a central subject actually slightly off centre.

The clouds are a little burnt out, especially on the left. If this was taken as a JPG then switching to RAW mode if your camera has it, holds much more exposure information in the photo and would give you much more room to tweak the photo later on the computer to correct or improve this sort of problem.

Again with the clouds, an alternative is for you to investigate HDR or High Dynamic Range images.
If you've not heard of HDR before then here's a couple of websites to get you going...

Here's a link to some free HDR software called Photomatix...

Overall a great shot, in my humble opinion.
Well done.

Cheers,
Shaun

I can't tell a big story about your picture, but I also like this one!
The colours are beautiful and I like the ducks in the front. Great job!

Sam,
I agree with Shaun here mostly, that's mostly Shaun....

DO NOT LOSE THE DUCKS!

They truly make this photo. The reflections and the ducks are the photo. It is unfortunate about the sky, but that is something to work on when taking a similar subject in furture. It is better to slightly under expose and lift the darker areas than to try and bring back detail from over exposure. Take a few different exposures of the same image. Try bracketing which is a fancy name for taking the exposure your camera meter has suggested then reducing the exposure for another. This you would have to do for compiling 'HDR' that Shaun mentioned, taking a photo exposed for the sky, then one exposing for the next brightest and so on. Triod is essential and then they're combined in photoshop. David H and Steve L are experts at HDR techniques.
For now I would practice changing exposure with shutter speeds, have a play on manual.
Also, another way to darken a sky without losing the foreground is to ue a graduated neutral density filter. Basically it's darker at the top and controls the light coming through.
Enough waffle!.. With this photo, if you didn't feel brave enough to try putting a perfect fluffy clouded sky in with photoshop then I would crop the top right down to just above the house and the tips of the red trees. Or, try taking off all the land and having it purely as a reflection photo..
You willsee lots of photos of Sheffield park as it is beautiful, so try something daring and different...
Well done on the capture of the ducks and the lovely colours.

Sam, have you altered your image or am I imagining things?
