Wow, great pictures...they look really dramatic!
I'm not really a fan of the snow in the weekend...Wink Then I'm free and the trains are not riding very good with snow...
If it's snowing on a weekday, I don't have to take the children on the bicycle to school, so I love snow on a weekday..Wink haha

Thanks Miranda. I was hoping the office would give me a day off but unfortunately the response was " Get your butt into the other office at Kings Hill " so I missed the whole lot!

Neutral That's too bad...Just to make you feel good: I also missed everything, I was stuck in Holland, my plane was canceled because of the snow.

I just wrote a long response then pressed the wrong button and lost it! aarrghh

They are all HDRS. There are a lot of tutorials out there although I find most peoples efforts are over the top which in honesty was how I used to do mine when I first started and got over excited by the prospect of these artistic impact heavy images.

For me I try to create impact but whilst trying to capture the photo exactly as it was when I was there or at least as close as possible.

As we know when dealing with areas of shadow and bright light a single shot cannot capture all the range of detail so that's where the idea of HDR was born from.

The following is a tutorial from one of the forefathers of HDR. A lot of his stuff is too much for me but some of it is amazing, and inspiring.

This is the tutorialStuck in Customs

If anyone wants any other advice on how to do these and specifically with Photomatix settings then please drop me a PM or an email (shortsharpshot at gmail dot com) and I'll try and help out.

Really like this HDR, I add the page to my favorites and I'm going to give it a try (an other time, it's late...)
Again, really great pictures, well done!

Nice photos and a good tutorial too. I like the effect but haven't had time to have a go myself.

Super shots. I thought they were HDR and they look fantastic, especially the last one. One thought though was that didn't it snow on the Sunday!

Thanks for the kind comments

We didnt get much snow until it got dark. Where I live it kind of skirted round us until about 8pm.
